N<\/span>osy Be is a small island in the north-west of Madagascar and the most visited of the Madagascar islands.<\/p>\n

It is of volcanic origin and disposes of an extraordinary nature.
\nLe climate is tropical with high temperatures all year round. There are about 340 sunny days in a year, allowing a delightful living.
\nAccording to the local philosophy, here you should live \u226a mora mora \u226b, meaning \u226a slowly slowly \u226b.<\/p>\n

Hell-Ville is the main town of the island. Here you can discover the open-hearted and cheerful population.
\nYou should make a visit of the market hall, it is a \u226atemple\u226b of spices and tropical fruits.
\nThe town offers a large choice of shops where you will find Madagascan artisanal objects, and also cafes, restaurants, banks \u2026<\/p>\n

Around the Nosy Be Island you can discover magnificent beaches of different charms with white sands and mangrove sites, all offering marvellous views on the Indian Ocean and the neighbouring islands.
\nOn inland trips you may adventure besides big lakes and sometimes observe crocodiles.
\nDuring your trips around you pass through numerous plantations of rice, maize, sugar cane and also pepper, coffee, cacao and of Ylang-Ylang.

From September to end of December humpback whales are coming to the island\u2019s surrounding waters for feeding and to give birth. You may go out to encounter these giants of the ocean with a special daytrip for their observation.
Other excursions are offered to go diving with whale sharks which are numerous in the region and attracting more and more visitors coming to observe them.<\/p>\n

It is also possible to make excursions on sea to visit nearby islands:
Nosy Komba, the lemurs\u2019 island; Nosy Sakatia, the orchids\u2019 island; Nosy Tanikely, being a marine nature reserve and a real treasure; Nosy Iranja, composed of two small islands connected by a coral-sandbar and surrounded by turquoise waters, being classified amongst the most beautiful islands of the world<\/a> \u2026<\/p>\n

Back on Nosy Be, you can also visit the holy tree, the cascade, the Mont Passot summit overlooking the crater lakes around and the entire island, the nature reserve of Lokobe with its genuine primary forest, the animal park \u201cLemurialand\u201d where you can observe various lemurs coming from diverse regions of Madagascar and also giant turtles, snakes and crocodiles. In this park there is also an Ylang-Ylang distillery open for visits.<\/p>\n

You can rent cars, motorcycles, scooters, or Jet Ski for your explorations, make scuba diving or excursions to neighbouring islands and even have a trip for whale and whale-shark observation during the appropriate season.<\/p>\n
